2020/21 Gym Updates

2020/21 has seen a lot of disruption to Shredz and our members. We have worked extremely hard throughout this time to work within the government guidelines and maintain high safety standards for staff, members and visitors of the gym.

During the first lockdown we added a new mezzanine floor, to give us a new area especially for all our cardio equipment and classes and we spent many hours renovating and redecorating to improve the gym experience for everyone, we listened to the advice of our members to ensure the new changes would please everyone and we have had some great feedback since reopening.

Over the months we have also added some amazing new equipment such as a Cybex Prone Lying Leg Curl, Instinct Rear Delt/ Pec Fly, TechnoGym Leg Press, Atlantis Pendulum Squat, Hammer Strength Shoulder Press, Hammer Strength Flat Chest Press and new Incline and Decline benches. We have also put fresh leather on all our existing benches.

We have also welcomed new staff members to the team. We have two new Personal Trainers Amber and River who are Level 3 Qualified and our new Gym Assistants Izzy and Balint will be completing their Personal Training level 2 in 2021. They are a great team and can offer you support with your training and nutrition to ensure you get the best out of your workouts.

Rhys is currently working with MuscleMentors coach Cal Raistrick, despite competitions in 2020 being cancelled. He is still motivated to develop and progress to compete when he can as well as working with his own clients. We have also been lucky enough to have many professional athletes and bodybuilders visit us such as Brandon Harding, Marc Hector and Ryan Terry.
